An unused substitute he may have been, but Geremi is a two-time Champions League winner. When Real Madrid triumphed over Valencia 3-0 at the Stade de France in Paris back in 2000, Geremi sat on the bench and watched Fernando Morientes, Steve McManaman and Raúl grab the goals that saw the club lift an eighth European Cup. His 54 games for Newcastle between 2007 and 2010 may have been extremely underwhelming to say the least, but Geremi had already achieved past glories by that stage most Magpies could only ever dream of...
