20 Best Premier League Goals of 2012

1. Papiss Cisse (Chelsea 0-2 NEWCASTLE)

http://youtu.be/moHR8tzNeyA For the first half of 2012, there were few strikers that had quite the impact of Papiss Cisse. The striker was in lethal form as his goals helped keep Newcastle in contention for Champions League places, but it was the manner in which he scored those goals which was doubly impressive. In no match was that better illustrated than in this game against Chelsea, in which he scored two fantastic goals to help Newcastle shock the current European Champions at Stamford Bridge. Nevertheless, it is the second goal that earns the number one spot on this list, and it was a strike that truly merited the position. With Newcastle leading 1-0 with a few minutes left on the clock, Cisse decided not to run the ball into the corner of the pitch, he hit the ball with unbelievable curl to deceive Petr Cech and secure the victory for Newcastle. The shock of the moment and the quality of the strike meant that it was definitely the greatest goal of the year. Do you agree with my list? Post any other goals in the comments section.
