20 Best Premier League Goals of 2012

4. Hatem Ben Arfa (NEWCASTLE 2-0 Bolton)

http://youtu.be/WpuFePHvLUM Individual dribbling runs have a certain flair and panache that can't be administered by a long range strike, as they present close control and skill that show the fear in the eyes of the defence. Picking up the ball before the half-way line, Hatem Ben Arfa seemed to have only one thing on his mind as he sprinted towards the penalty box. Despite teammates providing support on either wing, Ben Arfa shrugged of the challenges of the Bolton defence and ghosted his way into the box, giving the perfect finish to the superb run. The Frenchman's ability both at dribbling and composure were apparent, and benefitted Newcastle on their path into Europe.

3. Luis Suarez (Norwich 0-3 LIVERPOOL)

http://youtu.be/dW2UlNjbYcw Having previously discussed the mixed Liverpool career of Luis Suarez, his potential for scoring wonderful goals has never been in doubt. The Uruguayan had already scored two goals in this game against Norwich, aptly demonstrating the inconsistency of his and Liverpool's performances throughout 2012. But his hattrick goal was the most memorable, as he took advantage of Norwich's desperate hunt for a means to get back into this game. As he entered the opponents' half, Suarez spotted the window to launch the ball from over 40 yards over the head of John Ruddy and securing the trifecta. He has continued his fine scoring form for Liverpool throughout the current campaign, and if anything will continue to provide talking points going into the second half of the season.

2. Peter Crouch (STOKE 1-1 Manchester City)

http://youtu.be/_aY5Q7r76gY Peter Crouch is an entertaining footballer. A man that appears more appropriate to be a safari exhibit than a Premier League player has shown time and again his ability to create something out of nothing. The journeyman striker has played at some of the biggest teams in England, scoring plenty of classic goals in the process. This goal against Manchester City though is probably the best of the bunch. The Stoke striker seemed to have no hope of scoring when he collected the ball from 30 yards. But, setting the ball up in the air, he smashed the dropping ball past the powerful Joe Hart, and sent the Potters fans into raptures. The shot dipped greatly, but retained such speed that the goalkeeper had no chance in stopping the England striker. The goal took all the strength in Crouch's long legs, and produced the finest moment in another solid season for Stoke.
