Restored in the club shop as of late and made an unlockable classic kit on FIFA 15, albeit without any of the Adidas branding, the away kit from Keegan's Entertainers side remains one of the most popular the club has ever worn. Having never utilised either the purple, the maroon, or the hooped design in any previous kits, this shirt was a bold and beautiful new adventure for the club to match the calibre of players brought in over the close season. The shirt was offset perfectly with a pair of shorts that, although looking white, were a little closer to cream, and the hopped design continuing on the socks. The colour pattern was repeated 11 years later with a front panel replacing the hoops, however this remains not just one of Newcastle's best away kits but one of the entire Premier League's.
