During the half time interval of an eventual 3-2 loss to Manchester City, Norwich City's director burst onto the pitch and slurred a drunken message of support to the fans. This would have been newsworthy in any case, but the fact that the director in question was famous chef and television personality Delia Smith made the whole incident even more outlandish. She later defended her actions, but couldn't prevent the Canaries from sliding into relegation by the end of the 2004/05 season.
