Similarly to John Terry, Luis Suarez's career in the English top flight was dominated by two major pieces of controversy. The first involved the racial abuse of Manchester United left back Patrice Evra during a match with Suarez's Liverpool side. The Uruguayan was found guilty and banned for eight matches, before sensationally refusing to shake Evra's hand the next time they faced off. His moment of infamy came during a match against Chelsea in 2013, in which he bit Branislav Ivanovic - the second time he had bitten an opponent in his career. He was banned for ten matches, but unbelievably did the same again, biting Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini during a World Cup match. His nine game ban from international competition is still in place, and looks set to keep him out of the 2015 Copa America.
