The worst thing about being a Tottenham fan isn’t that you don’t support Arsenal – it’s that you do support Spurs.

Supporting Tottenham is opening yourself up to a barrage of yearly mocking from pretty much every football fan in the country, whilst it also means you have to watch the likes of Soldado, Etienne Capoue and Younes Kaboul. And pay through the nose to do so if you want a ticket at White Hart Lane.

Admittedly, Arsenal tickets are a little more expensive but at least the Gooners get to see some actual entertainment and have a chance of winning something. You can’t really blame them for trying to run away to Stratford.

Even though that mission failed, north London remains red. And it will do for years to come.
