20 Worst Squads In FIFA World Cup History

15. Bolivia (1930)

As our first entrant from the inaugural World Cup, Bolivia qualified for the tournament via invitation and were one of thirteen teams in the World Cup finals. The strange layout saw one group of four, and three groups of three, with the winners of each group advancing straight to the semi-finals. This may seem like a good format, but it meant Yugoslavia officially became World Cup semi-finalists by winning two games in the entire tournament.

One of the nations defeated by Yugoslavia is the team currently in question, Bolivia. Bolivia were hammered 0-4 by Yugoslavia in their opening game, and clearly didn’t learn from their errors as they suffered another 0-4 loss in their second and final game against Brazil. Bolivia crashed out of the first World Cup having failed to score and conceding eight goals.
