3 Italian Clubs Ready To Fight For European Glory Again

3. Juventus

Juventus The giants from Turin will undoubtedly be a major threat in this year's competition. They have now won successive Serie A titles, and show no sign of stopping. The squad is an extremely athletic and powerful one, with many key players coming into the prime of the career. The midfield trio of Arturo Vidal, Claudio Marchiso and Andrea Pirlo is as good as any in Europe. All three compliment each others' strengths perfectly, with Pirlo orchestrating the game from deep and Vidal and Marchiso acting as the 2 ball winners. Vidal, in particular, is one to look out for this season. The Chilean already has 3 goals to his name, demonstrating how he is growing into the complete midfielder. Still only 26, this could be Vidal's year to take Europe by storm. Juventus' defence is equally impressive. The ever reliable Gianluigi Buffon is between the posts and is protected by the Italian trio of Andrea Barzagili, Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonnuci. The fact that Italy has emulated Juventus' 3-5-2 formation tells you how successive it has been for Antonio Conte's men. The additions of Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente also provide Juventus with extra fire power, something they have been lacking prior till now. Juventus will certainly be challengers for this year's crown and one team all the English clubs should hope to avoid.
