4 Main Card Predictions For UFC Fight Night: McGregor vs. Siver
2. Donald Cerrone vs. Benson Henderson
Weight Class: Lightweight This is a bout that has Fight of the Night written all over it. In fact, Donald Cerrone (266 (1)) went out and tweeted Benson Henderson (214) just that - he wants to pick up a fight of the night bonus. On 15 days notice this is an insanely hard fight for Cerrone, 2014's Fight of the Year for many. He's a fantastic fighter to watch and will back down from no one, but he has lost to Benson Henderson before, and what really has changed? Is Cerrone better than he was when the two met in the WEC? Yes, absolutely. His style hasn't changed, however, he's just better at what he's always done well, and Henderson has improved himself. This will be a fantastic fight, and they very well may pick up that bonus, but almost every disadvantage goes to Cerrone, who has a 32 hour drive to Boston, little time to prepare, and may still be sore from the Myles Jury fight. Any other fighter would have said no to this bout, but turning down a fight isn't an option for Cowboy. He'd probably do a one-night tournament if the UFC still had them. Henderson is coming off a loss (to Rafael dos Anjos, who gets the next title shot), but it matters not - he's still a top five fighter, like Cerrone himself. Benson Henderson for the win, but Cerrone will always be a winner just for taking this bout.
