4 Main Card Predictions For UFC Fight Night: McGregor vs. Siver

1. Conor McGregor vs. Dennis Siver

Weight Class: Featherweight Conor McGregor (16-2) has said he'll knock out Dennis Siver in under two minutes. We expect this to go at least a full round. The danger here is that McGregor is buying into his own hype. The only saving grace is that his confidence is legit - he really thinks he's that good. The other helpful factor is that he really is good - he's not all talk, no matter what his detractors may think. Unless Dennis Siver developed a strong wrestling game overnight, this fight is McGregor's for the taking, and the UFC no doubt booked it that way for a reason. Siver (22€“9 (1)) is a strong kickboxer with knockout power, but he's peaked in the division, and the UFC knows it. They also knew McGregor needed at least another win to quell doubters, especially with Frankie Edgar vying for another title shot against Jose Aldo. Enter Siver, clinging to tenth in the featherweight division. He's enough of a name to matter, but a threat? Not really. If Siver upsets, however, the McGregor train is derailed for the time being. That said - McGregor by TKO in the first. It's hard to bet against the man.
