5 Best Non-Title MMA Fights In November

5. UFC Fight Night Austin: Cub Swanson vs. Frankie Edgar

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYTaHro3HcM There is no non-title fight in November with bigger implications than this bout. Then you have to include how technically sound both fighters are. It will be a five round fight for two fighters that are cardio machines. It€™s a matchup that many fans have been waiting to see for over a year now. Cub Swanson has quietly become one of the true elite fighters in the featherweight division. There aren€™t many other fighters that are more battle tested for five rounds than Frankie Edgar. This is going to be an incredible bout, which could lead to Jose Aldo€™s next title defense. It may not be the case for Edgar, considering he€™s only on a two fight win streak. It€™s not a very impressive one either by beating Charles Oliveria and a broken down BJ Penn. Still he can get himself in the discussion with a win over the supposedly number one contender. Swanson has reportedly been promised a title shot, if he were to win. You look at his winning streak and there is no way you can deny him. Conor McGregor is obviously the talk of the town, but Swanson€™s body of work can€™t be ignored any longer. His striking has always been outstanding working under Mike Winklejohn. Now we€™ve seen him more controlled and utilizing his timing much better. He learned from his loss to Ricardo Lamas on tempering his aggressiveness down a few notches. That€™s crucial when fighting against a true veteran like Edgar. This is a fascinating fight that can be considered a toss up. Some may favor Edgar for his wrestling and ability to take a substantial amount of punishment. Others will favor Swanson for his relentless pace and profound striking. It€™s hard to see how this fight can be a dud. I€™m certain that it will likely go five rounds as well. That€™s why it slightly edges my next choice.
