5 Blockbuster Transfers That Could Rock The Premier League

2. Thiago Alcantara

This is another World Cup motivated move. The 22 year-old Thiago has grown tired of being used sparingly for the Spanish Champions in the past few years. The vast array of attacking talent at Barcelona make it almost impossible for the youngster to break in to the first team, Neymar's arrival at Camp Nou has done nothing to quell Thiago's fears. Manchester United are believed to have agreed terms with the player and have met the buy-out clause which is reportedly set at £17 million. Could United be about to land one of the hottest properties in world football, a player who was voted player of the tournament in Spain's victorious campaign at the under 21 European Championships. United have been known to let these big deals slip between their fingers in recent years (Sneijder, Moura, Hazard etc.), could Thiago be added to the list? Only time will tell.
