4. Inter Milan (Second Spell)
This is probably to least likely of the five featured in this article, but nothing is impossible. After a disastrous season with Inter currently lying ninth in the Serie A table and only able to move up one position with a game remaining, being knocked out of the Europa League at the hands of Tottenham and losing to Roma in the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia - Inter really need to reinvent themselves. The chemistry is lacking and there is a lot of deadwood within the squad. A mixture of veterans whose best days are behind them - Zanetti, Cambiasso and Samuel - with an influx of players who have been drafted in only recently - Guarin, Gargano, Palacio et al. With current boss Andrea Stramaccioni
likely to leave at the end of this campaign, Mourinho would have his work cut out if he were to return but that is where the best managers in the world succeed. If José was given an omnipotent role with lots of cash, the Inter board may just be able to sway him into returning. The reason for Mourinho's magic having a great effect on Inter is simple. For starters, things can't get much worse for them - no European football next season, a poor campaign this season and a group of players who don't seem to play well together despite their obvious skills. As mentioned above, if the transfer kitty is a big one then Mourinho could have some fun in the market with the possible likes of Wayne Rooney and Falcao looking to leave their respective clubs in the summer. Inter have a decent squad; Handanovic, Guarin, Palacio and Pereira have all had good spells and if José could bring in some new talent and reorganise the mess made by current boss Andrea Stramaccioni, they could chase for Champions League football at the very least. The side that José built during his spell at Inter was an excellent one. Champions League and domestic title winning, with a great setup and some of the greatest players in the world, but the fans haven't had much to cheer for of late. It is hard to see why The Special One would choose Inter, but the club would surely relish the opportunity of Mourinho managing the club for a second period.
