5 Heavy Hitting Boxing Fights You Must Watch Before 2020

1. Andy Ruiz Jr Vs. Anthony Joshua II (WBA, IBF & WBO Heavyweight Titles)

Date: December 7, 2019

Location: Diriyah, Saudi Arabia

Promotion: Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom

Where to watch: UK - Sky Sports Box Office | USA – DAZN

The Land of Kings and Heroes is set to hold one of the most anticipated rematches in boxing history, in which Anthony ‘AJ’ Joshua will attempt to recapture his belts from Andy ‘Destroyer’ Ruiz Jr.

Anthony Joshua will only have revenge on his mind after his shock defeat to the Mexican fighter who believes that Joshua should step away from the sport if he is to lose again. Ruiz Jr is confident that he is an elite calibre boxer and wishes to back up his statement with another devastating win over the former British champion.

Joshua’s loss to the Mexican heavyweight completely disrupted his plans to become the undisputed heavyweight champion and line-up a fight with Deontay Wilder. Joshua, however, knows that another loss against the 'Destroyer' will put him back dramatically in challenging Wilder or even his bitter rival Tyson Fury.

Anthony Joshua is putting in the work behind the scenes with claims that the British Heavyweight titan has slimmed down for the rematch and has heavily dedicated his time in performing cardio-based workouts.

On the other side, the Mexican champion has been basking in his new-found fame to the fullest but has responded with workout clips and a strict diet regime with no Snickers in sight anymore.

Only time will tell how both fighters have prepared for the rematch but for us fans who have been eagerly awaiting this fight, we cannot wait to see what is in store for December 7.
