So often the villain even when he plays well, Gabriel Obertan rarely gets the plaudits he (sometimes) deserves. However, the winger certainly performed well off the bench against the Timbers after replacing Moussa Sissoko in the 46th minute. Far more purposeful than normal, the Frenchman made every effort he could to get down the wing and cross the ball in - and was even rewarded with an assist for Rolando Aarons' second goal. Still needs to prove an awful lot to break into the first team regularly, but a decent showing nonetheless.
