The Kansas City Chiefs broke the record for the loudest outdoor sports venue in October 2013 in their regular season game against the Oakland Raiders. The noise inside the stadium caused the Raiders to be flagged for 11 penalties largely due to their inability to hear each other over the noise from the stands. With a staggering 137.5 decibels, the Chiefs and their 76,416 fans in Arrowhead stadium claimed the record from NFL rival Seattle Seahawks. They may not now be the current holder of the record any more but their effort isn't nothing short of impressive.
