5 Man Utd Players Who Have Won The World Cup

2. Nobby Stiles

Nobby Stiles scored 17 goals in an 11-year playing career for Manchester United, winning the Football League First Division in 1964€“65, and again in 1966€“67.

Stiles was an iconic player for United, and was part of the 1968 European Cup winning side as the Red Devils memorably beat Benfica. But it's his international career that arguably stands out the most.

Stiles's highly combative and physical style of play is owed by many to England€™s famous and historic World Cup success in 1966, virtually bullying Eusebio out of the game as we went on to beat Portugal in the semi-finals.

And, after beating West Germany in the final, the sight of Stiles dancing on the Wembley pitch, with the World Cup trophy in one hand and his false teeth in the other, will always go down as one of the most iconic images in Three Lions history.

England haven't won the World Cup since, and the role Stiles played for both club and country is considered legendary, playing every minute of England's victorious campaign in '66 and maintaining his record even today as being one of only three Englishmen, alongside Bobby Charlton and Ian Callaghan, to have won both the World Cup and European Cup.
