Of course, a list on astute buys in La Liga would not be complete without Sevilla. The transfer mastermind of Sporting Director 'Monchi' has once again left its mark on the world of footballing recruitment, while a number of other deals could quite easily have taken Krohn-Dehli's place here. The pick-up of the Dane on a free from Celta Vigo is near-irresistible however.

Even though he may be the 'wrong side of thirty' for a professional footballer, any doubts over his physical ability or longevity are extremely ill-placed. There wasn't a player in La Liga who covered more ground than Krohn-Dehli last season, nor were there many as effective as him on the ball. Put simply, the 32-year-old is a midfield live-wire blessed with unwavering enthusiasm and quality in possession. His Balaidos exit after three years at the club has in fact almost been a cause for mourning up in Vigo.

Down in the south, the feeling couldn't be any more contrasted. Krohn-Dehli arrives at Sevilla with a reputation that has been expertly crafted in La Liga over the past few seasons with Celta Vigo, and his new club know exactly what they're getting. With the Dane set to be introduced into Unai Emery's infamous midfield rotation next season, it's a sight that many onlookers are eagerly anticipating.
