Dani Parejo
Former Real Madrid youth product
Dani Parejo is no stranger to English football. The Spaniard joined QPR on loan from Real in 2008, starting fourteen games before he was recalled to Madrid due to an injury crisis at the club. Parejo joined Getafe the season after and impressed fellow La Liga suitors Valencia enough for them to fork out 6 million for the midfielder last season. Despite the high transfer fee Parejo was mainly used in cup competitions and has found himself fairly far down the pecking order at the Mestalla. His situation has not been helped by the permanent arrival of Sergio Canales and may well be looking for a move away from Spain. With Laudrup's summer shopping coming entirely from La Liga so far (
Michu from Rayo Vallecano,
Jonathan de Guzman from Villarreal and
Chico from Genoa, previously on loan at Real Mallorca) it would be no surprise to see him revisit Spain for his Joe Allen replacement.
