Premier League: 5 Managers Who'll Be Gone By Christmas

2. Paolo Di Canio

The heat has been turned up on Sunderland manager Paolo Di Canio once again following a terrible start to the Premier League. The Black Cats evaded relegation by the whiskers of their namesake last season and finished in a demoralising 17th place, after losing 17 games and winning just nine. The finger of blame should of course mostly point at now-ex manager Martin O'Neill, who was axed in March after taking the club on a run of eight games without a win. Di Canio was controversially appointed as his successor shortly after and found his job under instantaneous threat with many calling for his head due to his reported fascist beliefs. The Italian has survived so far, just, but a series of poor results this season, which has yet to see Sunderland win a game and almost suffer the ignominy of elimination in the second round of the League Cup against MK Dons, could cost him.
