Premier League: 5 Managers Who'll Be Gone By Christmas

3. Andre Villas-Boas

After breaking Tottenham's transfer record three times this summer by splashing out in excess of £100 million on new players, the pressure is on manager Andre Villas-Boas to come up with the goods. AVB has spent more money than any modern-day Spurs boss by bringing in Paulinho, Roberto Soldado and Erik Lamela and there can be no excuses this season - regardless of the fact star-man Gareth Bale has gone to Real Madrid. Tottenham owner Joe Lewis can only exercise so much patience without Champions League football before pulling the trigger, and another failure to qualify for Europe's flagship club competition this season could prove fatal for Villas-Boas, who memorably lost his job at Chelsea after just nine months in March 2012. And he could be gone even sooner if a top four finish doesn't look realistic by Christmas.
