5 Premier League Strikers That Have Overperformed This Season

3. Loic Remy (Newcastle United)

Newcastle United weren't exactly busy this summer. In fact, it was more noticeable the business that they didn't do rather than any business they were able to do. This was so much the case that it was almost forgotten that the Magpies did manage to sign French striker Loic Remy on loan from QPR. Many people expected Alan Pardew's team to struggle this season, and Remy's form is a big reason why they have not. When a Premier League club signs a player on loan they can't be expecting a great deal, especially when such a deal is done with a club currently plying their trade in the Championship. Therefore, this particular deal has worked out well beyond Newcastle's greatest dreams. Remy is amongst the leading scorers in the EPL this season with eight goals already from his 13 starts. The 26-year-old striker also scored six goals in 14 games for QPR at this level towards the end of last season.
