5 Reasons Spurs Will Still Qualify For The Champions League

4. There Are Several Players Returning From Injury

In Spurs' last game against their bitter local rivals Arsenal in the FA Cup, they had no less than ten players who might have been in the squad unnamed on the day and have indeed been suffering badly from injuries all season. This would indicate an incredible strength in depth when everyone is available. Of course, not all of those players were injured on the day against Arsenal - Tim Sherwood opted to keep some of them out of the squad by choice - but when you consider that Sandro, Paulinho, Jan Vertonghen, Younes Kaboul, Etienne Capoue, Erik Lamela, Andros Townsend, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Jermain Defoe and Lewis Holtby were all missing on the day, Spurs could be a real force with them all available. And with Emmanuel Adebayor returning from an enforced spell on the sidelines as well (a spell which came thanks to Andre Villas-Boas) and looking every inch the player he used to be, as well as some promising youngsters like Nabil Bentaleb coming through, in addition to the potential return of Tom Carroll and (less likely) Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Jake Livermore, Spurs really could make an impact in 2014 if they can get everyone up to scratch and available for selection.
