5 Reasons Spurs Will Still Qualify For The Champions League

2. Not Many Cups To Think About

In recent years, at this point in the season, Spurs have still had several competitions to think about. Now, having been knocked out of the FA Cup at Arsenal last weekend (the first time Spurs had been knocked out in the third round since a 3-2 loss against Leicester City in the 2005-06 season), Spurs only have the Premier League and Europa League to think about. With only two competitions to concentrate on and a much bigger squad than recent years to allow for player rotation in different competitions, Spurs are looking good for a strong finish in the Premier League - and this bodes very well for their Champions League aspirations. Indeed, Spurs can concentrate entirely on the Premier League until the 20th of February, when they will travel to Dnipropetrovsk in the Ukraine to face FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk in the last 32 of the Europa League - and this is an ideal opportunity to put together a run of good domestic league form, starting with a win at home to Crystal Palace this weekend. As a result of this slimline schedule, come the 20th February, I would fully expect Tottenham Hotspur Football Club to be in a much stronger position in the Premier League table than they are currently.
