5 Reasons Spurs Will Still Qualify For The Champions League

1. They're Not That Far Off As Things Stand!

For a team who are apparently so badly under-performing, to say they're still in sixth position in the league, only eight points off the summit and a measly two points from the Champions League positions is actually quite impressive. During the previously-referred-to period of major transition and with such a vast injury list, Spurs have still kept in touch with the leading pack. When you look at the bigger picture, what they've achieved should not be sniffed at - in fact it's actually quite scary thinking about the potential of the team, should it click and come out firing on all cylinders. Spurs find themselves in this position having only scored a mere 24 goals in 20 Premier League games. For comparison, Swansea City, who are thirteenth in the table, have scored 26 goals in the same number of games and Manchester City, who are second in the table, have notched more than twice Spurs' tally with 57. If the Lilywhites can find their goalscoring feet, there really should be no upper limit to their potential because, aside from three anomalies (against West Ham United at home, against Manchester City away and against Liverpool at home) they have been defensively very sound - and that's in spite of some pretty hefty injuries in that area. So there you have it - five reasons why Spurs will still qualify for the Champions League. Do you agree with this notion or am I clutching at straws? Let us know in the comments box below.
