1. Brett Cooper vs. Brandon Halsey
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jpBUKETXyNs The Bellator middleweight tournament final features Brett Cooper vs. Brandon Halsey, and it's the main event of the evening. A Bellator fighter since 2010, Brett Cooper challenged Alexander Shlemenko for the middleweight title back at Bellator 98 in 2013, despite having lost the tournament final to Doug "The Rhino" Marshall, who went down to injury. Cooper lost his surprise title shot, but went the distance. Shlemenko, meanwhile, would win his next two fights, KO'ing Marshall and choking out Brennan Ward, before losing to Tito Ortiz in a mismatch at Bellator's first ever Pay-Per-View in May. If Cooper wants to get back into the title picture, he needs an impressive win over Halsey to capture the crown in the short-format tournament. Halsey is sort of a question mark - 6-0 in his career, with four of those wins under the Bellator banner, is he a legit prospect, or has he faced lower level competition? We'll find out in this bout. I suspect Cooper takes home the victory, but again, upsets are part of the fun of MMA.
