5 Things To Watch Out For 2013/14 Championship Season

5. Middlesbrough

On New Year's Day Middlesbrough played Derby County knowing that if they won they could have gone top of the Championship. They lost 3-1 and a woeful run of form led them to only pick up 12 more points till the end of the season. They finished only 5 points above the drop zone due to the outstanding form the clubs fighting for relegation and well off the pace for a play-off spot. There is much uncertainty over what is expected from a team that has been falling down the league table for all of 2013. With Tony Mowbray at the helm they have a man of much experience and will have to use it all to change the morale in the dressing room, getting that feel good factor back. New arrivals this summer have included experienced Premier League midfielder and former Black Cats player Dean Whitehead who has joined on a free from Stoke City. And also with their very productive youth system, which is a major source the current squad this season could be when some start to develop. With a nice blend of youth, experience and genuine quality Boro may be the dark horses for promotion in the next campaign if they have the stamina
