5 Things To Watch Out For 2013/14 Championship Season

4. Bowyer Is Boss https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_vngyCWQ2Y The manager merry go round was in full swing at Ewood Park last season with Steve Kean, Henning Berg and Michael Appleton all being showed the door by the Venkys. While this was happening, on the pitch Rovers were slipping into a relegation battle. Along came Gary Bowyer for his second time as caretaker manager. He steered them to 3 wins in April that all but secured their Championship status. Quite an achievement for a man with little managerial experience, at club where relegation could have been detrimental. Rovers have an undoubtedly strong squad. With the fire power of Jordan Rhodes and DJ Campbell plus the experience of players like Scott Dann and David Dunn, coupled with some of the bright youth prospects coming through. Bowyer has the opportunity to do something special at Blackburn. It is a must to get the fans back on side, with the average attendance from last season a lowly 14,974 and with Ewood Park having a capacity of 31,367 they could make it a real fortress and a place where teams are scared to go and play. It will be interesting how Bowyer will get on this season after being handed the job on an permanent basis. However with Blackburn's recent managers tenures, most likely blink and you'll miss it.
