45. Bernd Leno (Borussia Dortmund)
A goalkeeping progidy, Bernd Leno has played for Borussia Dortmund permanently since November 2011, and despite his youth has already established himself as the club's number one, winning the Bundesliga and 2012 and now already playing amongst Europe's elite. Definitely will be featuring on lists like this a lot in the future. http://youtu.be/Vd69fe-SKSQ

44. Marouane Fellaini (Everton)
Much of Everton's success in the Premier League this season has been credited to the afro-sporting Fellaini, the Belgian scoring an accomplished haul of goals for the Toffees. The Belgian is getting increasing attention from Europe's top clubs, so Everton will possibly have to keep pushing for Europe to retain his services for the considerable future.

43. Sami Khedira (Real Madrid)
Sami Khedira was a consistent and capable component of the Real Madrid side that took home the La Liga title in 2012. The German is definitely not a major goalscorer, but will go down in folklore for scoring Real Madrid's 108th league goal of the season, which passed the previous record that had stood for over 20 years.
FIFA 13 Rating - 83
42. Jakub Blaszczykowski (Borussia Dortmund)
Blaszczykowski, apart from being one of the most difficult names to pronounce in football, had a great 2012 as another part of the shockingly fantastic Borussia Dortmund that took the Bundesliga title. Currently his penalty taking is keeping Poland's hopes to qualify for Brazil 2014, and he featured on UEFA's 32-man shortlist for the best player in Europe.

41. Michael Carrick (Manchester United)
While Manchester United lost their title to their bitter rivals, it was a great year for the unsung hero of their midfield Michael Carrick, who has gone from being a forgettable figure into an integral cog in the United machine. Carrick is now an everpresent as the Red Devils build a substantial lead in the current title race.
