6 Main Card Predictions For UFC Fight Night: Swanson vs. Stephens

4. Ricardo Lamas vs. Hacran Dias

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fWoJveO79e8 Weight Class: Featherweight Ricardo Lamas (13-3) took a fight with Hatsu Hioki in 2012 after Hioki turned down a title shot against Jose Aldo. He won, beat Eick Koch next, and got his own chance against Aldo this past February, losing a unanimous decision that saw him win a single round on all three judge's scorecards. Lamas is now looking to get back on track against Brazilian Hacran Dias. This fight will mark Lamas' first time fighting twice in a year since 2011, something that will have to continue to improve for him to really make an impact. The lack of action was due to injuries on fight cards that would see match-ups for Lamas fall through at least twice. Now that he's had and lost his chance against Aldo, the key for Lamas is to stay active and win definitively, if he's looking for a second shot. As for Dias (21-2-1), he has gone 1-1 in his UFC run thus far. A Shooto vet, he trains with Nova Uniao, along with Aldo and Renan Barao. This gives Lamas the opportunity to get some revenge, of sorts, at least over the team that last beat him. Lamas, ranked third in the featherweight division, takes a unanimous decision over the unranked Dias.
