6 Questions Mike Ashley Must Answer About Alan Pardew

2. How Long Is Too Long?

It is well within Mike Ashley's remit to decide whether or not he needs to give his manager more time, but a year is a long time in football, and 2-14 has been a disgraceful period for the Magpies. It really isn't to say that Pardew is currently being judged on his last six games, or that he hasn't had the time to prove himself. Since the turn of the year - and the sale of Yohan Cabaye specifically - Newcastle's results have been diabolical at best, and the tide has had a significant time to turn without any signs that it's happening. It's all well and good saying "we'll see" and allowing Pardew another game at Swansea and more beyond that, but at what point is it too late to make that decision?
