6 Reasons Why Man Utd Must Sign Arturo Vidal

2. He's The Next Yaya Toure

Part of the reason Manchester City won the Premier League title last season was because of Yaya Toure. The powerful midfielder's rampaging runs through the middle of the park made him almost impossible to defend against, with the Ivorian enjoying a personal best season of his career, scoring 20 goals in 35 appearances. Other teams have started to see the importance of a marauding midfielder - Chelsea re-signed Nemanja Matic from Benfica and he helped the Blues keep the best defensive record in the Premier League last season. But Vidal is more than a defensive midfielder - he goes forward, too, and plays both offensively and defensively just like Toure. With lung-busting runs through the middle of the park, Vidal gets forward and creates opportunities, and has goals in him. United's midfield were badly overrun last season - particularly in the two Manchester derbys against the Citizens - and they are desperately crying out for a Yaya Toure-type player. Vidal is exactly that - only he's four years younger than the City star.
