Along with Forrest Griffin and Rashad Evans, The Ultimate Fighter 4 Welterweight Tournament Winner Matt Serra is one of three men to have won a title and The Ultimate Fighter. Studying Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Renzo Gracie, Serra stunned fans when he beat George St-Pierre at UFC 69, knocking out the Canadian in the first round on his way to becoming the Welterweight Champion and causing one of the biggest upsets in IFC history. The 40-year-old has now retired from MMA, his last fight coming in September 2005 a unanimous loss to Chris Lytle. His shock win against GSP will be remembered as a highlight of his successful career in UFC, but Serra was no one hit wonder. Fights with hall of famers Matt Hughes and B.J Penn may have ended with defeat, but Serra came out of both fights with a new found respect from many, after taking the former all the way in a fight of the night match-up.
