6. Jamie Sterry Offers Great Versatility

Sterry is generally known for his role as a competent right-back although he can play anywhere across the defence. Against Blackburn, he replaced the injured Adam Laidler during the first-half and played left-wing for the majority of the game. The 19-year-old got himself on the scoresheet with a confident header and looked extremely comfortable going forward. The Newcastle-born youngster was called up to the senior squad for their fixture against Manchester United last March. He was not included in John Carver€™s final matchday squad, but the highly-rated defender spent valuable time training with the first team and was named on the bench for an away fixture against Liverpool the following month.
