6 Ways Pep Guardiola Will Turn Bayern Munich Into A Merciless Machine

1. Success Breeds Success

Pep Guardiola has seen a wealth of titles throughout his illustrious career, not only as a manager but during his playing career also. With 13 trophies, including 2 Champions League titles, during his four-year tenure at Barcelona, Guardiola has been largely successful throughout his managerial stint. And as the old saying goes, success breeds success. A manager coming off a sabbatical looking to reinvent himself at a new club which has a squad filled to the rim with international talent is likely to result in plenty of silverware. If Guardiola can garner similar success at the Munich giants, he will go down as one of the greatest around, but his lack of managerial experience is what separates him from the likes of Sir Alex and Mourinho. The foundations are there and the promise of a nine-figure transfer kitty shows that Bayern have a lot of trust in the Spaniards judgement. With Munich being top of the totem pole in the Bundesliga and in the upper echelon of European football, the only way is down for the 2011 FIFA Coach of the Year, but the trust shown by the Bayern board along with the fans' warm reception towards Pep could go a long way. Pessimists may argue otherwise, but this future Bayern side may become the greatest of all time.
