20. Kyle Walker
Main Position: Right Back. Time With Spurs: 2009-Present. Pacey full back Kyle Walker joined Spurs from hometown club Sheffield United in a joint deal that brought fellow full back Kyle Naughton to the club. The two youngsters cost Spurs a total of
£10m. Since then, Walker has gone from strength to strength. Loan spells at his former club Sheffield United, Queens Park Rangers and Aston Villa gave him the experience he needed to establish himself in Tottenham's first team, where he is now their first choice right back. In the 2011-2012 season, Walker was named PFA Young Player of the Year for his performances for Spurs. He has made exactly 100 appearances for Spurs to date and is now a full England international. On the 2nd of October in 2011, he memorably scored the winning goal in the North London derby against Arsenal.
19. Paul Robinson
Main Position: Goalkeeper. Time With Spurs: 2004-2008. Tottenham's most reliable long-term goalkeeper of the Premier League era was Paul Robinson. Robinson made 175 appearances for Spurs and was between the posts when Spurs won the League Cup against Chelsea in 2008. Signed for a bargain
£2m from Leeds United in his native Yorkshire, Robinson was England's number one for most of his time at Spurs - he played in every single one of England's games at the 2006 World Cup. In 2008, Robinson moved to Blackburn Rovers where he still plays to this day. Blackburn are currently in the Championship and Robinson is now 33 years of age.
18. Stephen Carr
Main Position: Right Back. Time With Spurs: 1993-2004. Tottenham's most reliable right back of the Premier League era has undoubtedly been Irishman Stephen Carr. The Irish international was a product of Tottenham's youth system and he spent the majority of his career with the club, playing 270 times between 1993 and 2004 and scoring 8 goals. Carr memorably scored a thunderous long-distance goal against Manchester United in the 1999-2000 season, which was his best season for the club. Carr played the full match in the 1999 League Cup final win over Leicester City and, whilst with Spurs, was twice named in the PFA Team of the Year. Carr retired from professional footbal just last month at the age of 36, following spells with Newcastle United and Birmingham City whom he captained.
17. Benoit Assou-Ekotto
Main Position: Left Back. Time With Spurs: 2006-Present. King of Twitter 'LOLs', 'Benny' (as he's affectionately known by the fans) signed for Spurs in 2006 from French club Lens for a fee understood to be around
£3.5m. At first, he struggled to make an impact and was seen as something of a liability for a while, until he finally established himself as one of the best left backs in the Premier League. Still with Spurs at the age of 29, the Cameroon international has made 205 appearances for the club and has scored 4 goals - most of which were spectacular long-ranged efforts. His future remains unclear, as many feel that current coach Andre Villas-Boas isn't necessarily his biggest fan. He has been linked with moves to the likes of Chelsea, Monaco, Paris St. Germain and Fenerbahce.
16. Aaron Lennon
Main Position: Right Winger. Time With Spurs: 2005-Present. Possibly the most shrewd transfer Spurs have made in the Premier League era is that of Aaron Lennon. The little English international winger signed from Leeds United in June 2005, when he was 18 years old, for a bargain
£1m and has been one of Spurs better players ever since. A member of the 2008 League Cup winning team, Lennon has made 314 appearances for the club, scoring 29 goals. He is known for his incredible speed and dribbling skills and while his end product often leaves a lot to be desired, there is no denying his usefulness for Spurs. Still only 26, he remains to be a mainstay in the Tottenham first team squad and forms part of a speedy front-line that also includes the likes of the very quick Gareth Bale and Jermain Defoe.
