60 Best Tottenham Hotspur Players In Premier League History

3. Gareth Bale

Main Position: Left Winger. Time With Spurs: 2007-Present. The Welsh wizard is Spurs' man of the moment and has won two PFA Player of the Season awards whilst with the club, as well as the Young Player award (becoming only the third player to win both in one season, following in the footsteps of Andy Gray and Cristiano Ronaldo). Predominantly a left winger in his time at Spurs, Bale has recently been played in a trio behind the main striker and he can also play at left back (the position he was playing when he originally signed). He has even deputised up front for Spurs, having shown how capable he is of scoring regularly. Famous for his fantastic hat-trick against Inter Milan in Spurs' Champions League campaign of 2010-11, Bale has gone on to become a highly coveted superstar - gaining praise from the likes of Zinedine Zidane and being linked with the likes of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Manchester United (though Spurs are desperate to keep him and look set to do so). It's hard to believe that, following his £5m move from Southampton, Bale wasn't part of a Spurs victory in his first 24 appearances - a streak lasting two years.
