4. David Ginola
Main Position: Left Winger. Time With Spurs: 1997-2000. French left winger Ginola joined Spurs from Newcastle United in 1997 for a bargain
£2m, where he was joined by former Magpies' team-mate Les Ferdinand. Ginola went on to star for Spurs, winning PFA Players' Player of the Year and FWA Footballer of the Year in 1999 - the first to do so whilst playing for a team who finished outside of the Premier League's top four. The Frenchman won his only English trophy with Spurs - the 1999 League Cup in a 1-0 win over Leicester City - playing an integral part in their journey to the final (including scoring a belter against Manchester United). He is best remembered, however, for his stunning solo goal against Barnsley in the 1998/99 FA Cup sixth round. He weaved in and out of a number of Barnsley players and finished in the left side of the net, scoring the only goal of the game. Ginola has been inducted in to the Tottenham hall of fame and got a rousing reception from the supporters - perhaps the biggest of all - when Spurs legends were paraded on the pitch on their 125th anniversary celebrations. He left for Aston Villa in 2000 and went on to play for Everton.
