Brought in last season for big money but as a relative unknown quantity in Europe, the impressive Brazilian striker has started this season in prolific form.

It’s clear to see that Pep Guardiola regards him as his main man up top – his early withdrawal against Liverpool demonstrated this - and given that he is up against Sergio Aguero for that mantle, it says a lot about Jesus as a player.

Three goals already have seen him make an impressive start to the campaign after hitting seven in just ten games at the back end of last season. These sort of figures suggest Jesus could well go on to hit the 20+ goal mark this season.

Capable of playing either on his own as a lone striker or even in partnership with Sergio Aguero, it does not seem to hinder Jesus’s ability to hit the back of the net, meaning he has every chance of being top dog in the goal charts come the end of the campaign.
