2. Memphis Depay

It's been a slow but steady start for Depay at United since arriving from PSV for around twenty-five million during the summer. He's bagged a couple of goals but his performances have been stellar, almost like a sign of what he can do. Fifty goals in One hundred and twenty four games for PSV is an incredible tally for a player who spent most of his years there as a teenager.

The twenty-one year old tricky winger was a staple of the Eridivisie winning side of 2014/15, finshing as the top scorer. He played under van Gaal for the Netherlands at the 2014 World Cup and has netted three times for the Dutch, and plenty more at youth level.

There's no doubting Depay's ability, and there's nothing stopping him from becoming a true legend of the number seven shirt, like those who came before him.
