7 MMA Fighters Currently Suing UFC

3. Nate Quarry

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dUTjqSFidgU Nate Quarry has been one of the most outspoken former UFC fighters when it comes to fighter pay. Now retired, he fought for the promotion from 2005 to 2010. He made it all the way to the highest level, or near enough, losing to Rich Franklin for the middleweight title at UFC 56. After retiring, Quarry became a host on MMA Uncensored Live on Spike TV. Quarry is one of the three original fighters bring the class action lawsuit against the UFC. In a post to social media in 2014 about the Reebok uniform deal, he had this to say;
I€™ve known main event fighters that fought for the UFC for many, many years, who don€™t make enough money to even own their own house, put their kids through college, build anything you can in a job you know you€™ll have for decades. So these athletes retire from fighting. Why? When they love it so much? Because at some point the love wanes and reality sets in. €œI€™m always in pain, I€™m not appreciated, there€™s no future in this and what I€™m being paid right now isn€™t allowing me to build a future.
Quarry has said a lot more on the issue of fighter pay and treatment, so it's not surprising to see him involved.
