Cung Le seemed like a content UFC fighter until recently. Coming over from Strikeforce when Zuffa acquired the promotion, Le had a hefty contract, could headline cards, and even played the Dana White role on The Ultimate Fighter China. However, it all went to pot after his fight this past Summer with Michael Bisping. He tested positive for HGH after the fight, and was banned from the sport for the year. Only problem was, as the fight took place in an area with no athletic commission, the UFC handled the testing, contracting out to a lab. They botched the test. Badly. No second sample of Le's blood/urine was stored. HGH rises naturally after physical activity, so the test was flawed from the get-go. Le was furious, and demanded an apology. The suspension was lifted, but the apology never came. He requested his release so he could join old friend Scott Coker in Bellator. That didn't seem to come either, and it's likely a big part of why he was one of the first three fighters to sue the UFC.
