3. Romelu Lukaku - Chelsea (transfermarkt value: £22 million)
Media Image LtdThere are a lot of Newcastle fans that will tell you that the club should actually go ahead and break the bank for this man, given his ability to score goals in the Premier League. He has demonstrated the over the last two years, scoring 32 goals during season-long loan spells at West Brom and Everton respectively. When Chelsea signed Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku from Anderlecht as an 18 year-old in 2011, it was predicted that, although it would take a while, he was the heir apparent to Didier Drogba. However, ironically enough, upon his return to the club, Jose Mourinho, the man who brought Drogba to the club hasn't much fancied Lukaku. Despite him being exactly the type of striker that "The Special One" likes in his uncanny resemblance to the Ivory Coast man and plenty of years to mauld him into a better player, Mourinho hasn't shown much faith in the idea of developing him. Originally sending him out on loan at the striker's request, Chelsea have since agreed a deal to sign Atletico Madrid's Diego Costa to lead the line next season. That opens the door for an exit for Lukaku from Stamford Bridge, and while there will be a lot of teams queuing up for his signature, many in better situations on the pitch than Newcastle, Chelsea paid £18 million fore him and will want to at least recoup their investment. The best chance Newcastle would have of signing Lukaku would be on loan, but it is incredibly unlikely to happen. If Lukaku joined Newcastle, it would be a great signing, people would definitely turn up to see him.
