With the gloom of the British weather threatening to dim the gold rush through London 2012, there should be no such issue in Rio de Janeiro. The party atmosphere at Horse Guards Parade, regularly called one of the best Olympic venues, with be multiplied across all venues as the people of Brazil's second biggest city welcome the world in a flurry of colour and samba. We will be in the Brazilian winter but with temperatures rarely dropping below 20 degrees Celsius it may well outdo our current €˜summer€™.
