Chelsea manager Antonio Conte cut a frustrated figure for much of summer, making no secret of his desire to bring in new players while his board seemingly failed to capture his targets.

The loss of number one objective Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United could have tipped Conte over the edge, but he had an ace up his sleeve, and that ace was the signing of Real Madrid star Alvaro Morata.

Few strikers have gotten off to an electric start in the Premier League such as Morata, who has three goals and two assists from his first three outings in a Chelsea shirt. With Diego Costa continuing to be ushered out of Stamford Bridge, the responsibility has been left firmly on Morata's shoulders when it comes to goalscoring.

If his start is anything to go by, then he appears to be lapping it up. Already a favourite of Chelsea fans, Morata could well go on to have a similar impact to that of Blues legend Didier Drogba if his form continues.
