Holly Holm has been a serious threat across women’s MMA for years but it took that head kick on Ronda Rousey to make her as a household name.
Following the Rousey fight, Holm seemed to lose her form completely and going into her 225 bout, she had a 1-4 record from her last 5 fights.
At UFC 225 Holm took on UFC debutant Megan Anderson (7-3-0) in what was a highly anticipated bout. ‘The Preacher’s Daughter’ put on what could only be described as an MMA masterclass, taking the unanimous decision victory against Anderson (30-27 30-26 30-26), and looking as though she was back to her 2015 title winning days.
A title fight with Amanda Nunes would seem like the logical next step but it depends on whether Holm wants to move back down to Bantamweight.
