8 Best Beards In Football History

2. Raul Merieles

The former Portuguese International is not a man to be messed with. Merieles, could play both in a defensive and attacking midfield role, and had short spells in the Premier League with Liverpool and Chelsea.

The man just looks mean, tattoo's everywhere, a warrior like beard and a cold empty stare. He is the type of player that other professionals must hate playing against, the ultimate midfield enforcer, in appearence anyway.

It is a shame that Merieles is probably going to retire from football (having been without a club since leaving Fenerbahce in the summer of 2016), however, if he does retire, it will be with having the reputation of having one of the best beards in the game.
