Manchester United attempted to respond but, in truth, Newcastle ran out worthy winners, having had more efforts and a greater share of the possession. A team containing Mike Williamson, Vurnon Anita and Yoan Gouffran went to Old Trafford and were part of the first Newcastle side in 41-and-a-half years to win at Old Trafford. Yes, really...
