8 Greatest 30-Somethings In World Football Right Now

2. Zlatan Ibrahimovic

There is probably no better example of a player improving more and more with age than Zlatan Ibrahimovic. He has steadily gone from being a player who divides opinion to one of the greatest strikers of the last 20 years. Now 33, there is absolutely no sign of the Sweden legend slowing down just yet. Ibrahimovic's time in Italy was largely excellent, but he was often criticised for his poor performances when it came to facing English sides in the Champions League. He was labelled as a prima donna who consistently blew hot and cold, much in the same way Mario Balotelli is these days. His time at Barcelona was a failure, despite his goalscoring record actually being quite impressive, and there were some who wondered whether he would ever reach the very top level. Since moving to Paris Saint-Germain in 2012 at the age of 30, however, Ibrahimovic's game has gone up a huge gear, and he has been sensational. He has scored a remarkable 83 goals in just 94 appearances, and his finishing, creativity, elegance on the ball and general influence have seen him become possibly the best striker on the planet. The 33-year-old scores some outrageous goals- a DVD of his greatest ever strikes would be well worth paying good money for- and he is one of the game's great entertainers. 'Zlatan' is as good as he has ever been.
